A Shooting Star | How to Get a Star Fragment | Usage Guide

Have you heard of shooting stars in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild? They’re not an urban legend, they’re just very rare to see.

If you watch the sky during clear nights, you might spot a small flying object leaving a red trail before disappearing over the horizon. That’s a shooting star, and if you manage to figure out where it landed, head there right away: you’ll find it waiting for you!

If you’re desperately searching for a Star Fragment, though, don’t despair. If you haven’t already picked one up, you’ll be given one by Irisa, a Hylian usually found around the Plains Stable.

Star Fragments, besides selling for a high price, can be used to upgrade pieces of the Ancient armor set, or in cooking to whip up some interesting dishes!
