How to Find and Ride Lord | Special Mount Guide

During your adventure across the lands of Hyrule have you ever spotted a mysterious blue-green glow at the top of a mountain but couldn’t reach it in time? If you had arrived in time, you would have found Lord, the creature that watches over the forest, waiting for you – which is actually a special mount.

Lord “the wise one”

Don’t worry, you’ll get another chance to see that glow. When it happens, head straight for it, ideally teleporting as close as possible. The place where Lord usually appears is Satori Mountain, located in the west-central part of the map. Right at the top of the mountain, besides Lord, you’ll also find the Mo Ratana Shrine, an ideal spot to teleport to in order to reach the area wrapped in the blue-green glow.

Don’t get distracted by the blue rabbits, which are oddly plentiful in this magical area – your goal is to mount Lord. To do so, simply sneak up on it as you would with any horse, with the sole exception that once you’re on its back, it’ll put up quite a fight. If your stamina isn’t maxed out, taming the creature that watches over the forest will be difficult.

If it throws you off, it’ll start running and vanish into thin air. Don’t worry, take a walk around the pond and it’ll reappear, giving you a second chance – but whatever you do, don’t attack it.

One more thing: don’t think you can be clever by saving beforehand – unfortunately, if you reload your save, the glow disappears and in its place you’ll simply find a nice little pond with its pretty pink tree.

Once you’re on Lord’s back, you can gallop at full speed without ever using up stamina.

Riding Lord, the Wise One

Lord will seem like the perfect steed, and maybe it would be, if it weren’t impossible to register. If you try to register it at a stable, the stable hand will recognize Lord and flatly refuse, fearing a terrible curse.

All you can do is enjoy it until you’ve had your fill – once you dismount and walk far enough away, Lord will gallop off and vanish…
