Against Glaciarock | How to Fight It Without Running Out of Arrows

Welcome everyone! In this short guide we’ll see how to trigger the Glaciarock quest, where to find it, and how to defeat it! At the end of the article you’ll find the full video of the quest from my YouTube channel!

Gizan and Glaciarock

To get the mini-challenge “Against Glaciarock” you’ll need to head to the Rito Stable, very close to Rito Village, and talk to Gizan, a Rito warrior wandering around the area.

Talk to Gizan, and he’ll tell you about Glaciarock, saying it roams around the Storm Ravine. All that’s left is to pay Glaciarock a nice visit – but first make sure you have something to protect you from the biting cold of the area, a fire weapon (you’ll understand why later), and some arrows.

If you’ve got everything ready, teleport there or simply head toward the Storm Ravine.

If possible, my advice is to teleport to the Gaoma Asa Shrine, right at the top of Hebra Peak, the ideal spot to glide down into the ravine from.

Once you reach the bottom of the ravine, you’ll notice a huge, seemingly harmless block of ice. Get close and let Glaciarock reveal itself.

Against Glaciarock

Glaciarock isn’t like a regular Talus – it has two ways of freezing you: hitting you with the shockwave from the boulders it throws, or simply on contact with its body.

All this ice does have its downsides, though. Glaciarock loses its powers when it comes into contact with fire. So all you have to do is approach it wielding your flaming weapon to “put it out,” allowing you to climb onto its back and hit its weak spot: the small mineral deposit on its back.
